On July 27th, the first trans Caspian China Europe freight train (Shijiazhuang Baku) from Beijing Tianjin Hebei region departed from Shijiazhuang International Land Port. This is the 18th international route developed by Shijiazhuang International Land Port, opening a new chapter for Beijing Tianjin Hebei to actively participate in the construction of the Trans Caspian International Transport Corridor.
Organized by Hebei International Inland Port Co., Ltd., this train carries 110 standard containers of export products such as machinery, screen, wallpaper, etc., with a cargo weight of more than 1400 tons and a value of more than 20 million yuan. It will leave the country from Khorgos Port, pass through Aktau, a port city in Kazakhstan, and be transported by ship. It will cross the Caspian Sea, go ashore from Aliat Port in Azerbaijan, transfer to railway transportation, and arrive in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. The whole journey will span more than 7800 kilometers, and the journey time will be about 15 days. Subsequently, some goods will be further distributed to Georgia, Türkiye, Bulgaria, Romania and other countries, forming a broader international logistics network.
The Trans Caspian International Transport Route is one of the main global trade corridors between China and Europe. Shijiazhuang International Land Port has opened a trans Caspian route, consolidating the development foundation of deepening the" South Passage "of China Europe freight trains through land ports. It not only expands the radiation range of China Europe freight trains, but also enhances the risk resistance of overseas channels, improves the stable development level of industrial and supply chains, and provides a new way for international logistics transportation for domestic and foreign customers.
It is reported that as a new link for smooth trade between Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei, this trans Caspian China Europe freight train has received strong support from Luquan Customs and railway departments under Shijiazhuang Customs. It adopts a railway sea intermodal transportation mode that connects railway and sea shipping schedules, strengthens coordination in transportation organization, freight scheduling, and other aspects, and achieves fast and seamless connection of transportation, inspection, and transfer. According to the Lihai shipping schedule, the railway operation time, port operation time, and port stay time of each section are scheduled to improve the efficiency of transit operations, saving about one-third of the time compared to traditional sea shipping.
